Welcome

I thought a website would be the best source of consistent information about me. I created this website and maintain all of its content and links. As a voter, I want a trusted source of information when deciding to vote for someone. What you see on this website is directly from me. I hope it helps with your decision.

We'll also be having a charity event in which we'll be giving out free door prizes that include: vertical gardens, gas patio heaters, commercial patio umbrellas, market umbrellas and much more. We'll also be having a cookout on donated bbq grills later that day.

The Story

I have been a resident of Northern Ohio all my life (41 years). I have lived in Streetsboro for the past 8 years. I am married and lucky enough to have 4 children, who are all in the Streetsboro City Schools.. In August of 2007, after the previous levy failed to pass again, my oldest daughter asked me why this was happening and what I was going to do about it! (She can be direct.) So I went to my first Board meeting just in time to see the Board approve significant cost cuts and then joined the effort the pass the levy in November 2007. I wanted to help because I had seen first hand through my own children the great job the district was doing.

What a learning experience! I learned there were MANY people who supported the schools, so much so that it passed almost 60% in favor. Somewhere during that effort, an opening appeared on the Board as a member was moving out of the district. After thinking it over and discussing it with my wife, I decided to apply for the position and was blessed enough to be appointed to the open seat in September 2007.

Why Vote for Me?

* I have a vested interest in the district with 4 children attending school. I want us to succeed.

* The past 2 years have seen a lot of changes for the district. To say we were in transition would be an understatement! We have a new Superintendent, Treasurer, Director of Teaching and Learning, Director of Student Services, our first Athletic Director, High School Principal and Elementary School Principal (I apologize if I missed any!). I want to be allowed to continue to work with this highly educated and motivated team of people. I have high expectations for what this core team of people will be able to do for our district and its students.

* I have seen tremendous change already in just the past year with our new Superintendent. She is a process-oriented individual who works tirelessly for the betterment of our district. Her continued work will only improve the performance of our district, and in the end help our students achieve their highest potential. Leadership starts at the top and we are truly lucky to have our Superintendent.

Our district serves over 2,200 students!

In less than 2 years, we have a new Superintendent, Treasurer, Director of Teaching and Learning, Athletic Director and High School and Campus Principals. Each of these changes has had a POSITIVE impact on our students.
